Ingredients:
- cooking spray
- 2 8oz packages crescent rolls
- 2 lemons, zested & juiced
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup & 3 tbsp white sugar, separated
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish with foil & spray with cooking spray.
Press 1 of the crescent roll cans into the bottom of the baking dish. Mix the lemon zest of 1 1/2 lemons (save the rest for later use), juice of 2 lemons, cream cheese, & 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until well combined and smooth. Spread over bottom layer of crescent rolls in pan.
Top with the other can of crescent rolls. Next, brush melted butter over the top layer. Mix melted butter & 3 tbsp sugar in a bowl, then sprinkle over the buttered top layer.
Bake in the oven until top is golden brown, about 30 minutes. Allow to fully cool, then cut into squares. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, then serve! Store any remaining squares in the refrigerator.
