Ingredients
For the patties:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- the juice of half a lemon
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt & pepper to taste
For the Pickled Red Onions:
- 1/2 red onion, sliced thin
- 1 cup white vinegar
- pinch of salt
- big pinch of sugar
For the yogurt sauce:
- 2 tbsp feta
- 2/3 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- about 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp mayo
- 1/4 cup chopped cucumber
- salt & pepper to taste (I also added a bit of greek seasoning, but you can skip this step or just add a pinch of oregano
For the sliders (optional):
- slider buns
- fresh sliced avocado
Combine all turkey patty ingredients and form into medium balls. Cook in a little olive oil over medium heat until fully cooked and golden brown. Set aside.
Heat the vinegar in a sauce pan with salt and pepper until they dissolve. Pour vinegar mixture over the sliced onion and set aside until cool.
Smoosh feta in a bowl, then add he rest of the yogurt sauce ingredients into well combined.
Assemble sliders with sauce, patty, avocado, and pickled onions and enjoy!
